For over three decades, Red Feather Lakes Fire Protection has stood as the first line of defense for our mountain community — from wildfire preparedness to emergency response and fire safety education.
From wildfire mitigation to fire prevention education, we provide the full spectrum of fire protection services tailored to the unique needs of our mountain community.
Round-the-clock emergency response to structure fires, vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies. Our trained crew responds quickly from our station right in the heart of Red Feather Lakes.
Given our location in the Colorado mountains, wildfire risk is real. We conduct defensible space assessments, fuel reduction projects, and coordinate with state and federal agencies to protect our community.
Residential and commercial fire inspections, permit processing, and code compliance reviews. We work with property owners to ensure every building meets Colorado fire safety standards.
School visits, smoke alarm installation programs, CPR and first-aid classes, and wildfire preparedness workshops. We believe an informed community is a safer community.
Specialized response for vehicle extrication, structural collapse, hazardous materials incidents, and search and rescue operations in our rugged terrain.
Basic and advanced life support response, patient transport coordination, and collaboration with nearby hospitals to ensure timely care for our residents and visitors.
Red Feather Lakes Fire Protection District was established to serve the unique fire safety needs of our mountain community. Nestled among the pines at the base of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, we understand the challenges that come with living in this special corner of Colorado — from wildfire threats to remote access roads.
Our team is made up of career firefighters and dedicated volunteers who live right here in Red Feather Lakes. When you call 911, you're not reaching a distant dispatch center — you're connecting with neighbors who know every road, every driveway, and every family on this mountain.
We can't protect this community alone — we need you. Here's how residents can stay connected and prepared.
